Thinkers' Garden

In collaboration with India Art Fair

Thinkers' Garden, a flagship initiative of LAND, is annually featured at the India Art Fair as a collaborative partner. This is a space for pedagogical inquiry and creative knowledge exchange. Bringing together educators, artists, researchers, museum practitioners, and cultural thinkers, the programme reimagines learning through dialogue across disciplines and practices. It explores how education may be shaped through materiality, memory, ecology, archives, artistic processes, and embodied ways of knowing, while asking fundamental questions: Who is a learner? Where does learning begin? How might classrooms extend beyond institutional walls? What hierarchies shape our learning systems, and how might they be transformed through practices of care, observation, and relational inquiry?

Rather than offering fixed pedagogical models, Thinkers' Garden cultivates methodologies that emerge from context, experimentation, and collective reflection. Situated within the dynamic ecology of India Art Fair, it positions contemporary art as a catalyst for educational imagination, bridging pedagogy, museum practice, and ecological thought. Over the past five years, the programme has reached more than 700 classrooms across India, fostering a growing community of educators committed to reimagining learning through curiosity, dialogue, and creative practice.
