A pedagogical framework developed by LAND in collaboration with Dr. Shobita Punja that examines how artistic, cultural, and material practices reshape the ways we perceive, interpret, and construct knowledge. Informed by John Berger's proposition that seeing is shaped by context and experience, and Paulo Freire's understanding of education as a critical and emancipatory practice, it encourages participants to move beyond observation towards interpretation, dialogue, and reflection. Rather than privileging finished artworks or fixed conclusions, the framework foregrounds the processes, relationships, histories, and knowledge systems that underpin cultural production.

Since its inception, Ways of Seeing has been integrated into LAND's learning programmes and pedagogical interventions across institutions including the Museum of Art & Photography (Bengaluru), Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (Mumbai), Bangalore International Centre, India International Centre (Delhi), O.P. Jindal Global University, and St. Stephen's College. Through lectures, workshops, museum engagements, and practice-based learning experiences, it has become a foundational methodology within LAND's work, enabling learners and educators to examine how knowledge is produced, interpreted, and shared through the arts
